Welcome
Welcome to the Rainton Meadows Volunteer Task Force site. Our site contains photos taken during tasks carried out by the Durham Wildlife Trust volunteers, staff, and VROs based at Rainton Meadows.
We manage 14 nature reserves across East Durham, covering a variety of habitats including woodland, grassland, and wetland. We hope the photos will give you a flavour of what's involved in volunteering with the Durham Wildlife Trust. It is also a great place to find out about upcoming tasks, and about how to get involved.

Tasks run every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, as well as one Sunday task per month, always the third Sunday. We meet at Rainton Meadows Visitor Centre for all tasks.
If you're interested in finding out more about becoming a member of the Volunteer Task Force, then please contact Steve Purvis on 0191 584 3112 or email Steve at rmvolunteer@durhamwt.co.uk
Durham Wildlife Trust also has a fantastic Volunteer Task Force based at Low Barns, near Witton-le-Wear, working across our Western Reserves. See their website and recent photos 'HERE'.
